I visited Sentosa Island and universal studio during my second day at Singapore. The best way to reach Sentosa Island is by the cable car. You can take the cable car from the Mount Faber station on the main island. Mount Faber station is located by around 10 minutes taxi ride from Clark Quay area. Universal studio is situated inside Sentosa Island and you need to purchase separate ticket to enter Universal Studio.
After reaching Sentosa island I visited Universal Studio and spent most of my time there. I didn’t like most of the rides at the Universal Studios. The rides were not that great compared to Ocean Park, Hong Kong and Disneyland. It was a great place for taking pictures because of different theme based sections around the studios.
After the trip to Universal Studios I visited Tanjong beach and Fort Siloso. There are lot of places and activity to do at Sentosa island. You have to take a map with you in order to locate the places you want to see. I recommend spending 2 days on the island. 1 day for universal studios and another day for visiting other activity centre built around the sentosa island. The transport from one place to another can be done through cable car and buses. Southern part of the Sentosa island is the southernmost part of continental Asia.
Fort Siloso is the only restored gun battery in Fortress Singapore. The fort is situated on the western side of the island. The fort is used as a military museum.
For people interested in adventure activity can do zip lining, luge ride and iFly. The Zip-line was very long and eventually you end up at another island. I couldn’t do the Zip-line because there was long queue. It is recommended to prebook your Zip-line slots. I took the luge ride and it was so much fun.
It was a great day trip to Sentosa island. There was so much to do for everyone at the Sentosa island.
