Macau is an autonomous region of China. It takes only 1 hour ferry ride from Hong Kong to Macau . Macau also has its own airport but the connectivity is not that great compared to Hong Kong. Macau is divided into two regions by the sea. On the north there is Macau peninsula island and on the south there is Taipa island. The airport is situated on the Taipa island. Outer harbor is the ferry pier for the Macau peninsula and Taipa is the ferry pier for Taipa island. There is a huge sea bridge which is used to connect between the two regions. It is convenient to explore each region in a day because most of the places are very close to each other.
