I woke up early morning at Kenting in order to prepare for my 10 hours long trip to Hualien. The trip covers lots of places around the east coast of Taiwan and it was one of the best road trip I have ever been to. I booked this tour at KKDay.com the tour was named “Along the coast Kenting to Hualien”. The tour is also available in the reverse direction also.
We started our journey around 8am. Initially we drove for around 2 hours straight. We passed through lots of mountains and the roads were steep and twisty. Finally, After 2 hours we had our first glimpse of the east coast of Taiwan. Pacific Ocean was looking pure blue in color and there were high cliffs just beside the sea. The beautiful road was in the middle of both and the scenery was fantastic.
Our first stop was Dou Liang station. The train station had stopped its service since 2006. The viewing platform offers great views of the pacific ocean. Every hour there is a train passes by the station and lots of people wait near the observation deck in order to take pictures. There is also a café near the observation deck which serves great coffee. After staying at the place around 1 hour we left for our next destination.
Xiaoyeliu/Jialulan –After 1 hour ride we reached xiaoyeliu. the place is famous for unique sandstone rock formations .You can also see green island from xiaoyeliu. The visitor center is situated at the entrance and they have an exhibition hall which displays different types of models of rock formation.
Our next stop was three gods platform scenic area. We reached the famous arched beach of the eastern coast of Taiwan. The bridge extends to the group of the small islands and it is in the shape of dragon. There are three enormous rocks situated on the other side of the island. In china it is widely believed three of the eight immortals rested here. The bridge also had eight arches in order to represent the eight immortals.

We stopped at some other scenic points in order to view the beautiful coastal scenery. We finally reached at Hualien around 6 pm. It was a great road trip and our guide was very friendly. We also had some amazing local Taiwanese lunch on our way to Hualien.
