I was fortunate to visit South Korea during the cherry blossom festival. The festival only lasts for 10 days. You can see cherry blossom all around South Korea but the biggest festival happens at Jinhae which is situated around 300 km from Seoul. I booked a day tour to Jinhae cherry blossom festival from Seoul. The tour started around 6 am in the morning and it lasted till 9 pm. It took around 5 hours to reach our first cherry blossom festival stop.
Our first stop was Gyeonghwa Station. The place was very famous for taking pictures of cherry blossom along with a KORAIL train. You can try different types of Korean street food near this place. There was a long queue to take pictures along with the train. I just wanted to spend more time on exploring the place rather than spending whole time for taking that perfect picture.
After a short ride we reached Yeojwacheon Stream. This was a far bigger cherry blossom place compared to the previous place. There were beautiful cherry blossom leaves on both sides of the stream. It takes about 3 hours to explore the place. It was the best place in order to try Korean fried chicken and other varieties of Korean food. At 4 pm we got into our bus for our return journey to Seoul. This was the perfect place to take some beautiful pictures and one of the major reason to visit Korea during cherry blossom season.
