Gold coast is famous for great surfing beaches, theme parks and rooftop restaurants. It takes about 2 hours to reach Gold Coast city from Byron Bay. My first stop at Gold coast was Sky point observation deck. The deck is situated 230 m above the Surfers paradise beach. You get great 360 view of the Surfers paradise beach and Gold coast city from the observation deck. There is also a restaurant at the top of the Observation deck. The observation deck is Australia’s only observation deck situated near the coast. I witnessed some stunning view of the surfer paradise beach and Gold coast city from the observation deck. Helicopter tour around the Gold Coast surfer paradise beach is very famous. It is just a 10 minutes ride and it costs around 50 AUD. I tried to book the tour 1 week back but it was sold out completely.
I visited Cavill Avenue near Surfers paradise beach during the afternoon time. You can’t miss stroll down the avenue if you are in Gold coast. Lots of good restaurants, bars and shops are situated at this location. You can watch lot of great street performance near the avenue walkway. Surfers paradise beach is located just besides the avenue. The place is little touristy but it is always great pleasure to walk along the surfers paradise beach. The beach is almost 3 km long and it is very popular surfing spot among locals. The beachfront market near the beach is a great place to lookout for gifts and souvenir items.
