Sihanoukville is a coastal city in Cambodia. It is 200 km from the capital Phnom Pehn. You can also take a direct flight from Siem Reap to Sihanoukville. The town is very famous among Russian tourists. The place is famous for its secluded beaches and the seaside restaurant. If you are into seafood then this place is perfect for you. The cost of the food is also very affordable. Otres beach and the Independence beach are the two famous beach near Sihanoukville.
The next morning I took a boat ride to the Koh Rong island. The island is famous for its night parties and amazing white sand beaches. The place is about 1 hour boat ride from Sihanoukville. The place is perfect for relaxation. There are lots of restaurant spread across the beach and they serve nice foods all throughout the day. At night there are lots of parties at the different hostels and clubs in the island.
After spending 4 hours at Koh Rong island I took a boat ride to Koh Rong Samleom island. The island is smaller island than Koh Rong island . Most part of the island is still uninhibited. It was only a 30 minutes ride from Koh Rong island but the sea was very rough and the big boat was swinging a lot. I reached the island at around 3 pm. The beach of the Koh Rong Samleon island is very beautiful and secluded. It is not at all crowded like the beaches of the Thailand.
I had to regret a lot later because i spent only 2 hours at the most beautiful beach of Cambodia. I should have stayed there at least a day. May be next time I will come here for long stay. At 5 pm I had to go to my hostel at the island. The hostel was at the other side of the island. The only way to reach is through another boat. The boat was scheduled at 5 pm and that was the last boat. I heard someone screaming mad monkey mad monkey. I immediately rush to the pier and jumped on to the boat. It was just 10 minutes ride to the hostel.
Mad monkey hostel was the most beautiful hostel I have ever seen. I still believe that this is the best hostel in Asia. The place was full of backpackers and almost everyone was staying at the place for weeks. All the fellow backpackers were very friendly and I made some nice friends at the place. We played lots of drinking game at night and we all slept on the bean bags.
