Putrajaya is situated by around 30 minutes train ride from KL Sentral station. It is a planned city and a federal administrative center of Malaysia. The place is sparsely populated but the city boasts some of the most beautiful architecture. From the station you can take bus ride which lasts about 20 minutes in order to reach Putra mosque and Perdana Putra. The roads are very broad and well-constructed and there were hardly any traffic.

Malacca Day Tour

Malacca is situated by around 2 hours bus ride from Kuala Lumpur. There are frequent buses from Kuala Lumpur to Malacca. Malacca is a very small town and you can visit all the places in a day. Malacca has both Dutch and Portugese influence in its architecture. You can get into a local bus from the main bus station of Malacca in order to reach tourist spots. Almost all the buses passes by the red square. There is a small river which flows near the scenic spot of Malacca and it was great pleasure walking along the river. You can also take boat ride along the Malacca river.

A Famosa

A Famosa– The fort was located by around 1 km walk from the red square. You can enjoy brilliant architecture while walking to the Portugese fort. The fort was kept in very good condition compared to the other Forts I have visited before. It was built in the 16th century and it is still one of the oldest surviving European architecture in South East Asia.

Malacca Maritime Museum

Malacca Maritime Museum – The museum is a replica of a Portugese ship. It was situated around 10 minutes walking distance from the red square. The museum enlightens Malacca’s past.

Taming Sari Tower

Taming Sari tower– Taming sari is a revolving tower. You can spot the tower from almost anywhere in Malacca. You can get great views from the top of the observation deck. After visiting the deck I took a taxi in order to reach the main bus stop. From the main bus stop there are buses to Kuala Lumpur every 30 minutes.

Overall it was a great 8 days trip to Malaysia. The country is definitely more expensive than that of Thailand and Cambodia but Malaysian beaches are not upto the mark compared to that of thailand. Melacca, penang and kuala lumpur were the highlights of the trip.
